Digha Science Centre is one of satellite units of the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum functioning under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The centre was built by the Government of India to propagate knowledge of science and technology to tourists, the rural community, and students through exhibits of various conceptual teaks and technological prototypes, as well as versions of science education or awareness activities. Apart from beaches, Digha Science Centre became the centre of attraction in Digha to the tourist and student community since the inception of the centre on 31st August, 1997.

Centre is open on all days, except on
Holi (Doljatra) and Diwali (Kalipuja)
Attention to all art enthusiast
You may be glad to know that NCSM has recently signed a MoU with the British Council, India to work on various events and activities for the upcoming travelling exhibition on “Hunt for the Vaccine”.
As a part of this, the British Council is going to sponsor an art installation for the exhibition. The art installation is going to be developed by artists from India & Uk jointly.
